So sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I knew him in high school. But a couple years later, when I was a student at Ohio State, I was driving back to Columbus after the Thanksgiving break in stop and go traffic. My car was hit from behind by another car on I-71 and totally crunched up. A tow truck showed up to tow my car away and I had no idea how I was going to get back to OSU. (This was long before cell phones.) Miraculously, a guy pulled up in a VW Bug and leaned out the window. It was Mark Anderson and he recognized me! He was a student at Columbus School,of Art and Design and he generously offered to give me a ride to Columbus! What a lifesaver! Years later we reconnected on Facebook. We discovered we had both found careers in advertising. Mark was a graphic designer in California, while I was a copywriter at ad agencies in CLE. He was such a nice and thoughtful guy. Rest In Peace Mark.??

I will always remember that Pat Polcar designed the cover of the 1969 Lens. Someone started the rumor that within the design of that cover were a lot of hidden messages. Even Principal O. H. Farrar called me into his office as the Editor of the Lens to demand what was hidden. Patty told me she had not included any hidden messages in the design and that was the truth! Her artistic talent lives on forever on the 1969 Lens cover!
She was a dear high school friend and I treasure all the fun times we shared in our high school years. I wish she could have lived to enjoy all the years we were blessed to experience. Rest In Peace Patty Polcar.??
