My wife retired on January 31, 2016. We have now moved to our new small cabin on 11 acres just north of Beverly, Ohio in Morgan County. We are in a pretty remote area. Two mile long one lane dirt road, 4 families, 8 people and about 150 cows and other assorted animals. You can not see our cabin from the road in summer or winter. It is about 500 feet down around the side of the mountain. Very peaceful. But tough in the winter. I'm closer to family now though. We will be getting a travel trailer and travel the country seeing relatives and the sights.

I am so sad to hear that Debra has passed.Such a sweet girl. We were Roosevelt alums so I knew her well. I will never forget some thing from that long ago. We were in the fourth grade and my older brother was in sixth. And they had a Roller Skating Night at Waltons Skating Rink in Mentor. And I liked her so much. She was there. And I wanted to ask her to skate with me soooo bad (and hold her hand!) but I was terribly shy at that age. I told my brother how bad I wanted to skate with her. Without saying a word to me , he got up and walked directly towards her on the other side of the rink. I about died. Oh No! What is he doing!. I felt like crawling under the bench. She then walked directly to me, grabbed my hand and said--- Come on lets go skate together, Gordon! I still dont know what my brother said to her, but he put me in heaven that night - Holding hands too!
I saw her again at the 45th Reunion and she told me something that I never knew. I said to her what a shame that we never dated in HS or later. And she said, Yes Im sorry too. My mother kept telling me to go out with you too, but I didnt listen to her. Huh! What? Your mother? Turns out she saId, that our moms knew each other from elementary school, PTA or whatever, and her mother remembered me. I had no idea. Oh well, I had my brother and her mother riding shot gun for me, but it was never meant to be. I saw her again just a couple years ago at her church. My brother-in-law's mother died and attended the same church. She was in the service. And I talked to her for quite a while.
I am so sad to read this. Rest in Peace Dear Friend Debra! I will always remember you.
I remember Dennis very well. He was a very nice guy. Always smiling and upbeat. Sad to see classmates go. RIP Dennis.

Hi Bonnie! Hope you have a wonderful birthday!
I remember Joe from playing recreation football. And then thru HS. He was such a nice and funny guy. I remember that if we screwed up on a play, we had to run a lap halfway around Dudley Field. It was my turn. Crowley take a lap. As I turned to run my lap, Joe looked at me and said: Well, keep the path warm. We took a lot of laps. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in Peace
Hello Linda, Hope you have a Happy Birthday today!
