Linda Sandison Talcott
Residing In: | Willoughby Hills, OH USA |
---|
Spouse/Partner: | Thomas Talcott |
---|
Occupation: | Business Owner-Talcott Consulting Services, Inc. |
---|
I attended Huron Road Hospital School of Nursing which led to an 18 year career with Medical Mutual of Ohio (Blue Cross/Blue Shield). Took a break for awhile and I am currently President of Talcott Consulting Services, Inc. My husband Tom and I provide written promotional examinations for the fire service and travel throughout Ohio on behalf of the Ohio Fire Chief's Association.
Tom and I married in 1981 and have been blessed with a great life. Activities of daily living keep us busy, but when we get the chance we enjoy traveling, tent camping, bicycling, and photography. My passion is genealogy and, oh yeah, working on class reunions!
One of our favorite and most memorable vacations was our month long driving trip to Alaska, in 1989. We drove 11,000 miles and tent camped the entire month. We're looking forward to more travel when Tom retires from Mentor Fire Department in the next year or two.
The memories I recall:
12th grade, 1st period swimming at the Willoughby YMCA. I practically drowned Ralph Scherer attempting to pass the lifesaving course; he didn't float! And Mr. Stocker yelling, "two minutes, girls" in his attempt to hurry us out of the locker room.
Also, the science project for Mr. Hoffman's 10th grade biology class. Pat Rogus, Bonnie Peace, and I raised chickens, charting their development from embryo to hatching. I had the chickens at my house and all was well until they grew too big for their cardboard box. They escaped the box one day and I found them running around the house. We eventually found a home for them on a farm. As I recall, we even got a decent grade from Mr. Hoffman!
And last, but not least, Mrs. Lapsley's Spanish class. What we put that poor woman through! And her endless slide shows.

Regarding Dick's death, it is my understanding that he passed away in Florida from cancer. He was cremated, not wishing any services. So far an oituary has not been published.
